Crafted from two layers of 100% organic cotton knit with a 1mil non-GMO bio-based TPU film sandwiched between, the fabric forms a waterproof barrier that shields against spills and stains. This cornstarch-derived, biodegradable film is GOTS-approved and meets the GreenGuard Gold Standard.
And here's the exciting part — the fabric has undergone a pore test, confirming that any pores, if present, are less than 1 micron. This makes it an excellent barrier fabric, protecting against dust as well.

At White Lotus Home, all our products, whether pillows or mattresses, are crafted from raw, untreated fibers. Many customers notice the distinct scent of raw cotton, which can resemble that of cooked rice. Additionally, depending on the style of your mattress, you might detect a mild scent from our natural latex or virgin wool. Because our fibers undergo minimal processing, they retain their original odor — some may perceive it, while others may not. If left exposed to air, the scent typically fades within a week or two, varying based on individual sensitivity.
Our handcrafted mattresses and toppers feature minimally processed fibers and unbleached cotton. Similarly, our pillows comprise solely your chosen fill and an exterior case made of Organic Cotton Sateen. As many of our customers have chemical sensitivities, we refrain from adding any extra chemicals, dyes, or fragrances throughout our production process, be it to the interior fill or exterior case. We take our customers' medical needs seriously and never include undisclosed ingredients in our products.
Now, let's address the distinction between Green Cotton and Organic Cotton. Organic Cotton, as the name suggests, is 100% USDA-Certified Organic Cotton. The entire lifecycle of the cotton plant can be certified, from soil to seed to final harvest. On the other hand, Green Cotton is conventionally grown, meaning it may or may not have been treated with pesticides during its lifecycle. However, after harvesting, our Green Cotton undergoes no further treatment with dyes or chemicals. The result is pure, unbleached, untreated, raw cotton.
Sheets and covers may be washed in cold water on a gentle cycle and dried on low, though line drying is preferable.
