More about the Evergreen Foam: While all foam comprises oils, this one stands out by using only soy, castor, and other vegetable oils instead of petroleum as its base. The foam-making process involves adding polyols, sugar-based alcohol derived from castor and vegetable oils, which burn off during manufacturing. In essence, every component of the Evergreen Foam is naturally derived from plant-based oils, making it as natural as foam can be!

Think of it like baking a whiskey cake: the liquid batter transforms into a solid during baking, with the alcohol mostly burning off in the process.

For your peace of mind, we've attached a letter from the foam manufacturer, with page 10 being particularly relevant. It certifies that our product is free from fire retardants, formaldehyde, nickel, mercury, parabens, and other harmful substances.

As for placement, we recommend using it on a box spring set, platform bed, or even as a floor bed. Optimal air circulation is achieved with a slatted bed frame, with slats ideally 2.5" wide and spaced no more than 2" apart for longevity and comfort.

Flipping Your Mattress

We recommend you flip your White Lotus Home mattress approximately every three months if placed on a slatted surface, and every month if on a solid surface (like a box spring) to avoid compaction and allow the materials to air out.

Cleaning Your Mattress

We always recommend spot cleaning our mattresses — never saturate them with any liquid. We always recommend to our customers that they add one of our protective Barrier Cloth mattress covers, to ensure spills never get out of hand.

To spot clean, we suggest a mild solution of three parts water to one part vinegar in a spray bottle, but for particularly stubborn spills, a mild detergent is perfectly fine to add to the bottle as well.

Always ensure your mattress is thoroughly dried after a spot cleaning, either by using a hair dryer or placing it in the sun to air out.
