Key Features:
-
Evergreen Foam: Our proprietary Evergreen Foam is made from a blend of vegetable, soy, and castor oils, providing a sustainable and non-toxic alternative to traditional petroleum-based foams. This foam is:
- Flame retardant-free
- Free of parabens
- Free of formaldehyde
-
GOTS-Certified Organic Cotton: The heart of our Dreamton Futon is constructed with layers of 100% organic cotton, free from pesticides and chemicals, and certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). This cotton is:
- Pesticide- and insecticide-free
- 100% biodegradable
- Perfect for sensitive skin
-
Wool from Happy Sheep: We source our wool from ethically raised sheep, untouched by chemicals or flame retardants. This premium wool naturally resists dust mites and microbes, providing warmth in winter and coolness in summer. The wool's inherent insulation properties make the Dreamton Futon suitable for year-round comfort without chemical treatments.
Why Choose the Dreamton Futon: The Dreamton Futon features a spring-free design that ensures minimal motion transfer, making it ideal for both shared and solo sleep. It offers a unique sleeping experience that combines softness with supportive firmness. The futon can be placed on a variety of surfaces, including box spring sets, platform beds, or bi-fold/tri-fold futon frames. For optimal airflow, we recommend using it on a slatted bed frame with slats no more than 2 inches apart.
Key Differences: Dreamton Futons vs. Mattresses:
- Thickness: Futons are typically 5 inches thick, while traditional mattresses are usually 6 inches.
- Handles: Mattresses include side handles for easy maneuvering, while futons do not.
- Shape: Futons have rounded sides, unlike the boxy shape of a mattress with side panels. Despite these differences, both mattresses and futons are made from high-quality materials. White Lotus Home mattresses can even be customized up to 8 inches thick for a personalized sleep experience.

Use & Care Instructions:
For Pillows, Duvets, and Bedding: Due to the raw, minimally processed nature of the fibers, our bedding products are not suitable for full immersion in water. For spot cleaning, use a mixture of 3 parts water and 1 part vinegar. Apply the solution to the stain and let it dry in the sun, repeating until the stain fades. You can also use a mild laundry detergent for general cleaning. For specific stains, hydrogen peroxide works well on blood stains, while rubbing alcohol can remove oils from cosmetics.
Refreshing Pillows & Duvets: Some fibers, like kapok, absorb oils over time, reducing their loft and fluffiness. To restore their shape, tumble-dry on a "Cold Air/Fluff" setting for 15-20 minutes, using wool dryer balls or clean tennis balls to help fluff the fibers. Avoid heated settings to prevent fiber damage.
Wool Bedding Maintenance: Expose wool bedding to direct sunlight and air monthly to refresh it naturally. If professional cleaning is desired, opt for dry cleaning. Do not submerge wool bedding in water, as it can lead to irreversible felting.
Cleaning Cotton and Covers: Wash sheets, covers, and most bedding in cold water on a gentle cycle and line dry or tumble dry on low heat. For Cotton Belle Covers, refer to care instructions based on their fiber content. Many can be machine washed on a gentle cycle, but line drying is always preferred.
Coyuchi Bedding Care: Coyuchi's organic cotton and linen bedding is machine washable. Use warm water with non-phosphate soap for whites and light colors, and cold water for dark colors. Line dry or tumble dry on low heat, removing promptly from the dryer. Avoid whitening agents, and use non-chlorine bleach if needed. Wool dryer balls can be added to reduce drying time and soften fabrics.
Coyuchi Mattress Pads: Wash Coyuchi organic cotton mattress pads on a gentle cycle with like colors in cold water. Use a natural laundry detergent, and avoid fabric softeners. Line dry or tumble dry on low, removing promptly to avoid wrinkles. Wool dryer balls are recommended to soften the fabric and reduce drying time.
