GOTS-Certified Organic Cotton

Our Dreamton Futons feature a core made of layers of 100% pesticide-free organic cotton, rigorously certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) for its adherence to the highest health and sustainability standards. Sourced sustainably from our farms to your bed, our cotton is:

  • Free from pesticides and insecticides
  • 100% organic and biodegradable
  • Safe for sensitive skin
  • Firm, yet soft to the touch
  • Requires 91% less water to grow compared to regular cotton
  • Shields farmers from harmful pesticide exposure

GOTS-Certified Wool from Happy Sheep

At White Lotus Home, we hold our shepherds to the utmost standards of quality and ethical practices. Our sheep roam rotating pastures to prevent soil erosion and overgrazing, and their wool is never treated with chemicals or flame retardants. Wrapped in this premium wool, our Dreamton futons naturally resist microbes and dust mites without the need for chemical treatments. Wool's natural insulating properties ensure comfort in both summer and winter.

Sleeping on the Cotton and Wool Dreamton Futons

The Dreamton is a spring-free futon, minimizing motion transfer between sleepers. It is versatile enough to be placed on a box spring set, platform bed, or bi-fold/tri-fold futon frame, and can even serve as a floor bed. For optimal air circulation, we recommend using a slatted bed frame with slats spaced no more than 2" - 2.5" apart. Soft yet supportive, the Dreamton offers a unique sleeping experience, combining plushness with sustainability for a truly dreamy night's rest.

Use & Care

Maintenance Guide: Pillows, Duvets, and Bedding

Due to their raw, minimally processed nature, our products should not be fully immersed in water as it may damage the fibers, including pillows and duvets.

We suggest spot cleaning your White Lotus Home pillows, duvets, and bedding using a solution of 3 parts water to one part vinegar. Apply the solution to the stain and expose it to sunlight. Allow it to dry and repeat until the stain fades and odors vanish. Alternatively, a mild laundry detergent can replace vinegar. Hydrogen peroxide effectively removes blood stains, while rubbing alcohol is useful for removing cosmetic oils.

It's important to prevent bedding from remaining damp to avoid uneven wear or mold growth. After cleaning or spills, thoroughly dry any moisture by placing the item in sunlight or using a hairdryer before reapplying sheets or protective covers like our Organic Barrier Cloth Covers. Please note that these recommendations carry a risk, and results may vary.

Revitalizing Pillows & Duvets

Certain fibers, such as kapok, can absorb natural oils, affecting loft and fluffiness. To restore them, place pillows in the dryer on the "Cold Air/Fluff" setting for 15 to 20 minutes. Specially designed wool dryer balls or clean tennis balls can assist in fluffing the inner fibers. Avoid using a heated setting to prevent damage.

Reviving Wool Bedding

Wool bedding, including duvets and toppers, may require special attention. We suggest exposing them to direct sunlight and air monthly, as sunlight acts as a natural sanitizer. Alternatively, opt for dry cleaning to maintain their integrity. Avoid submerging wool bedding in water or machine washing, as it can lead to irreversible felting.

Cleaning Sheets & Covers

Sheets and covers can be laundered in cold water on a gentle cycle and dried on low heat, although air drying is preferable.

Cleaning Cotton Belle Covers

For Cotton Belle Covers, consult the fiber content and care instructions specific to your fabric. Fabrics marked with a * can be machine washed on the gentle cycle, with line drying preferred.

Cleaning Coyuchi Blankets & Sheets

All of Coyuchi's cotton and linen products are machine washable. For whites and light colors, use warm water and non-phosphate soap on the gentle or delicate cycle. For dark colors, use cold water. Line dry or tumble dry on low heat, and promptly remove. Avoid using whiteners, as they may affect color brilliance. Insert wool dryer balls to naturally soften fabric and reduce drying time. Refer to the product tag for additional instructions.
