Description:

Introducing the Organic Cotton & Wool Foam Dreamton Futon—a fusion of natural materials designed to promote your body's health. Crafted with the finest components from our planet, this futon offers a balanced firmness and is naturally hypoallergenic and non-toxic.

The Dreamton Foam Futon comes in five different sizes, suitable for guest beds or daily use. Here's what sets it apart:

Evergreen Foam: Our exclusive Evergreen Foam is derived from vegetable, soy, and castor oils, making it sustainable and toxin-free. Unlike traditional petroleum-based foams, Evergreen Foam is:

  • Flame retardant free
  • Paraben-free
  • Formaldehyde-free

GOTS-Certified Organic Cotton: The core of our Dreamton futons consists of layers of 100% pesticide-free organic cotton, meeting the highest standards for health and sustainability. GOTS-certified organic cotton is:

  • Pesticide and insecticide free
  • 100% natural and biodegradable
  • Safe for sensitive skin

Wool from Happy Sheep: Sourced from ethically raised sheep, our wool is untreated with chemicals or flame retardants. Wrapped in this premium wool, Dreamton futons are naturally antimicrobial and dust mite resistant, without the need for chemical treatments. Wool provides comfort year-round, thanks to its natural insulating properties.

Sleeping on the Cotton and Wool Foam Dreamton Futon: The Dreamton features a spring-free design, ensuring minimal motion transfer between sleepers. It can be placed on various surfaces, including box spring sets, platform beds, or bi-fold/tri-fold futon frames. For optimal air circulation, we recommend using it on a slatted bed frame with slats no more than 2" apart. Soft yet supportive, the Dreamton offers a unique sleeping experience.

Differences between White Lotus Home Futons and Mattresses:

  1. Thickness: Futons are typically 5" thick, while mattresses are standard at 6".
  2. Handles: Mattresses come with side handles for maneuverability, whereas futons do not.
  3. Shape: Mattresses have side panels for a boxier shape, while futons feature rounded sides. Despite these variances, both products are crafted from high-quality materials. White Lotus Home mattresses can be made up to 8" thick.

Standard Futon Sizes & Weights

Lower weights generally reflect a Latex Core or Evergreen Foam Core futons, while higher weights are more typical of a Boulder Style (extra firm) futons. All dimensions and weights are approximate. A variation of up to 1" in all directions is appropriate.

Use & Care:

Care and Maintenance: Pillows, Duvets, and Bedding

Our products feature raw, minimally processed fibers, making them unsuitable for complete submersion in water, including pillows and duvets.

We suggest spot cleaning your White Lotus Home pillows, duvets, and bedding using a solution of 3 parts water to 1 part vinegar. Apply the solution to the stain and expose it to sunlight. Repeat until the stain fades and odors dissipate. Alternatively, you can use a mild laundry detergent. For surface stains, hydrogen peroxide is effective for blood, while rubbing alcohol can remove oils from cosmetics.

Avoid leaving bedding damp, as it may lead to uneven wear or mold growth. After cleaning or a spill, dry any moisture by placing the item in the sun or using a hair dryer. Ensure it is fully dry before re-adding sheets or protective covers like our Organic Barrier Cloth Covers. Please note that these suggestions are at your own risk, and results may vary.

Refreshing Pillows & Duvets

Certain fibers, such as kapok, may absorb natural oils, affecting loft and fluffiness. To restore them, place pillows in the dryer on the "Cold Air/ Fluff" setting for 15 to 20 minutes. Specially-designed wool dryer balls or clean tennis balls can assist in fluffing the inner fibers. Avoid using a heated setting to prevent damage to the fibers.

Refreshing Wool Bedding

Wool bedding, like duvets and toppers, may benefit from exposure to direct sunlight and air once a month, acting as a natural sanitizer. If professional cleaning is preferred, opt for a dry-cleaning process. Avoid submerging wool bedding in water or using a washing machine, as this may cause irreversible felting.

Cleaning Sheets & Covers

Sheets and covers can be washed in cold water on a gentle cycle and dried on low heat, although line drying is preferable.

Cleaning Cotton Belle Covers

Refer to the provided chart for fiber content and specific care instructions for Cotton Belle Covers. Fabrics marked with a * can be machine washed on the gentle cycle, with line drying preferred.

Cleaning Coyuchi Blankets & Sheets

Coyuchi's cotton and linen products are machine washable. Use warm water and non-phosphate soap for whites and light colors, and cold water for dark colors. Line dry or tumble dry low, promptly removing from the dryer. Avoid using whiteners, as they may diminish colors; use non-chlorine bleach if needed. Place wool dryer balls in the dryer to soften fabric and reduce drying time.

Cleaning Coyuchi Organic Cotton Mattress Pads

Machine wash Coyuchi organic cotton mattress pads on the gentle cycle with like colors and cold water, using a natural, plant-based laundry detergent. Avoid using whiteners, opting for non-chlorine bleach if necessary. Line dry or tumble dry low, removing promptly. Fabric softeners and dryer sheets are not recommended, but wool dryer balls can be used to soften fabric and reduce drying time. Iron as needed on a warm setting.
